The problem of indigestion is faced by many people nowadays with acid reflux and other indigestion issues. Many researchers discovered that yoga may enable the body’s stress response to be reduced. In addition to that, Yoga may be an effective treatment for Ulcers and GERD. Below are few yoga asanas to beat indigestion and for other related digestive issues .

Sukhasana : This yoga asana helps in strengthening back muscles, lengthening the spine and improving the overall body posture. Secondly, it also helps in relaxing the mind and the body, relieving the stress and anxiety. Overall to achieve the full length of spine, must master first the balance at the base of the posture.

Paschimottanasana : In addition to calming the mind and relieving the stress, this asana helps in stretching the spine, shoulders and hamstrings. It also stimulates the liver, kidneys, uterus and ovaries. It can help improve digestion.

Apanasana : Also known as knee- chest pose, this yoga asana releases the excess pressure from the digestive tract and lower back. Along with that it also helps in stretching the pelvis and lower back.

Balasana : Famously known as child pose. This involves conscious state of breathing and thereby release tension in your abdominal cavity. Also helps in relaxing the spine and release tension from chest. When included in daily routine, it alleviate stress in shoulders and hands.
